The Canada Learning Bond (CLB) is money that the Government adds to a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for children in income-eligible families. The money can be used to help pay for any costs related to full or part time studies, including tuition, at any of the following post secondary institutions:
- apprenticeship programs
- trade schools
- colleges
- universities
- CEGEPs (Collège d’enseignement général et professionnel) known in English as a general and vocational college. CEGEPs are exclusive to Quebec.
