If you give or receive gifts of money during this festive season, consider putting the money into a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for your child, children, nieces, nephews and/or grandchildren.
Also be sure to check to see if these children may be eligible for the Canada Learning Bond. If they are eligible they could receive up to $2,000 for post-secondary education.
