April 29th is International Dance Day, the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727–1810), considered to be the “father” or creator of modern ballet.
If you love to dance, whether its ballet or modern dance, you can study dance at university. Many post-secondary institutions have a Fine Arts department where you can study dance. Careers in dance are not limited to performance. You could also work as a teacher, recreational therapist, and more!
If attending post-secondary school is on your radar, be sure to check out your eligibility for the Canada Learning Bond. You can apply for it until you are 21 years old!
