It doesn’t matter where you work or live, if something goes wrong with the water, you will need a plumber!
In a Plumbing Apprentice program apprentices learn the fundamentals of completing plumbing projects. Apprentices will learn how to read and interpret drawings and blueprints, build plans and layouts for jobs and diagnose and repair problems using knowledge of the Plumbing Code. These are skills that will be used to install, maintain and repair pipes, fixtures and fittings that carry water.
A plumber apprenticeship program provides on-the-job and in-school training. The program typically takes five years to complete. The on-the-job training component allows you to work and earn while you finish your apprenticeship.
It doesn’t matter where you live – high-rise or new house or work – office building, hospital, strip mall, renovated building or construction, highly specialized plumbers are always in demand to make sure all waterways from pipes, toilets, sinks and more work properly and efficiently.
The Canada Learning Bond can be used to help offset costs of the first year apprenticeship until you can start to earn during the on-the-job part of your course.
