Human Rights Day was created in 1948 to commemorate The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
This document states that no matter where we live, what we believe, or how we love, everyone deserves the most basic fundamentals of human needs.
A great way to celebrate Human Rights Day is to take some time to appreciate the importance that this resolution has had on the world and in each person’s individual life. You can see the effects locally and across the world through charitable efforts that promote the health and well-being of those who are less fortunate.
One of the great equalizers is the right to education. If you are interested in pursuing post-secondary education, be sure to investigate the Canada Learning Bond. If you are eligible, you could receive between $500-$2,000 for post-secondary education.
