National Sweater Day

National Sweater Day
February 4, 2025 by LorriK

National Sweater Day has been observed since the early 2000’s to encourage people to wear layers of sweaters instead of turning up the heat. Sweater day also helps to raise awareness of our carbon footprint and how we can help with that. Making a commitment to wear sweaters in colder weather rather than turning up the heat could be a part of the solution.

The World Wildlife Fund (W.W.F.) established Sweater Day and promotes it every year.

If you are interested in a career helping the environment, you will likely need to attend post-secondary school.

If you are eligible to receive the Canada Learning Bond, you could get up to $2,000 in free money for your RESP to help out with costs.

Be sure to investigate whether you are eligible by contacting your bank or credit union and opening a no fee RESP.
