The Canada Learning Bond provides free money deposited into a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).

This money can be used to attend college, university, trade school or apprenticeships.

Students can defer taking funds out of the RESP for up to 35 years.

This is important for students who don’t want to start their post secondary education right after high school.

If you think your child may be eligible for the Canada Learning Bond, contact your local bank or credit union to open a Registered Education Savings Plan.
