Some of the Skilled Trades have Red Seal status.
The Red Seal endorsement on a journeyperson’s Certificate of Qualification means that the person has a nationally recognized level of skill in the trade.
The Red Seal also means that the journeyperson is licensed to practice his/her trade in any province or territory of Canada. Many “Red Seal” certificates are also recognized in other countries.
There are approximately 56 trades recognized as Red Seal Trades. This government of Ontario website shows which trades are Red Seal.
