During World Alzheimer’s Month, people are called on to support Alzheimer awareness by getting involved in some way.
Many people still wrongly believe that dementia is a normal ageing. This shows how important public awareness campaigns are for changing perceptions and increasing existing public knowledge about dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
If you want to get involved, contact your local Alzheimer’s Society.
If you are interested in a career helping individuals who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer disease, look into the Canada Learning Bond to see if you are eligible for a grant of up to $2,00 for post-secondary education.
