World Art Day is celebrated to honor artists and promote the importance of art in our lives.

The day was first observed in 2012, when World Art Day was celebrated to commemorate Leonardo Da Vinci – famous for his iconic artwork ‘Mona Lisa’.

What can you do on World Art Day? You can.
  • Draw a picture
  • Write a song
  • Write a poem or story
  • Paint
  • Go to a museum!

The theme of World Art Day in 2024 theme is “A GARDEN OF EXPRESSION: Cultivating Community through Art”

Whatever you decide to do, be sure to enjoy the wonderful art in the world!
