In Canada, Financial Literacy Month is observed in November.
Throughout November, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) will engage with Canadians and organizations from the private, public, and non-profit sectors to help strengthen the financial literacy of individuals and families and build their financial resilience.
Organizations from across Canada are encouraged to host events and share resources aimed at helping Canadians understand their finances and empowering them to:
- manage their money and debt wisely
- save for the future
- understand their financial rights
For a complete list of financial literacy resources offered by Canadian organizations check out the Canadian Financial Literacy web page
Be sure to register your children or child for the Canada Learning Bond to see if they are eligible for between $500 to $2,000 in free money for their post-secondary education.
