Did you know that there are over 100 skilled trades in Ontario? Some of the more well-known skilled trades include carpenters, electricians, plumbers, mechanics and millwrights.

Other trades include cooks, arborists, marine mechanics, tool and die makers.

Many of these trades require using math, science, and cutting-edge technology.

Some of the most exciting technological advancements can be found in the skilled trades. Tools including 3D printers, mobile apps and robotics are being used by the skilled trades throughout Ontario.

Many of the skills often transferable to other trades and skilled tradespeople have unique opportunities to advance as managers and mentors. Other skilled trades people start their own business or teach.
