Super Hero Day

Super Hero Day

On June 12, fans around the world celebrate Super Hero Day — a day dedicated to one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. Known for his strength, courage, and commitment to helping others, Superman has inspired generations to believe that doing good, standing up for others, and reaching your full potential can make a real difference in the world.

While most of us may not be able to fly or stop speeding trains, there are everyday ways we can help build brighter futures for children and families in our communities. Sometimes, being a hero means taking small but important steps that create opportunities for the future.

One of those opportunities is the Canada Learning Bond (CLB).

The Canada Learning Bond is a program offered by the Government of Canada that helps eligible children from lower-income families save for post-secondary education. Through the CLB, children can receive up to $2,000 in education savings to help pay for future studies, including college, university, apprenticeships, or trade programs. Best of all, families do not need to contribute their own money to receive the bond.

Many parents and caregivers are surprised to learn that opening a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) and accessing the Canada Learning Bond is free and easier than expected. Even if a child is still very young, registering early can help create more opportunities down the road.

Super heroes remind us that potential exists everywhere — sometimes it just needs support and encouragement to grow. Every child has unique strengths, talents, and dreams. Programs like the Canada Learning Bond can help families invest in those dreams and support future success.

This Super Hero Day, take a moment to think about the superheroes in your own life — parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, mentors, and community members who help children thrive every day. Then consider taking one simple action that could have a lasting impact on a child’s future.

Learn more about the Canada Learning Bond and find out if your child may be eligible. Registering today could help unlock opportunities for tomorrow.

Because every child deserves the chance to discover their own superpowers.
