The Canada Learning Bond (CLB) is money that the Government adds to a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for children in income-eligible families. The money can be used to help pay for any costs related to full or part time studies, including tuition, at any of the following post secondary institutions:

  • apprenticeship programs
  • trade schools
  • colleges
  • universities
  • CEGEPs (Collège d’enseignement général et professionnel) known in English as a general and vocational college. CEGEPs are exclusive to Quebec.
