World Health Day (WHD) is celebrated each year on 7 April to celebrate the anniversary of founding the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. A new theme is selected each year to highlight a priority area of public health concern.
On 7 April 2025, world Health Day will kick off a year-long campaign on maternal and newborn health. The campaign, titled Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures, will promote governments and the health community to increase efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being.
In Canada children in income – eligible families could receive up to $2,000 in free money for post-secondary education from the Canada Learning Bond program. Be sure to let new parents know about this option.
